Hope came to Australia as an international student from the Philippines in 2014. She completed 2 Higher ed qualifications in Social Work and in Business, and is now able to utilise her vast experiences to bridge her passions and skills for meaningful work.
She currently sits as the State Programs Manager for edtech company Practera, and manages a range of experiential learning programs focused on helping students build employability skills, and expand their social and professional networks. She is also a Residential Advisor at Trinity College (University of Melbourne) where she plays a pastoral care role to university students.
Hope is passionate about empowering individuals and building capacity especially among young people and International Students in gaining opportunities and getting their first foot in the Australian job market. When not at work, Hope can be found hosting or leading student or multicultural events, facilitating community workshops, coaching and mentoring, and in speaking engagements around topics of empowerment, leadership, and volunteering.
